On April 1, 2013, I remember receiving an email while sitting in my girlfriend’s, now wife, college apartment from a person claiming to be a prize associate for The Price is Right game show. I initially thought it was a scam or an April Fools’ Day joke, but after investigating further, I discovered the email was from Fremantle Media, the parent company of the game show. Upon confirming the legitimacy of the offer, I seized the opportunity to feature our single speed bikes on a special going back-to-school edition for college students, which was our target market at the time. I signed a contract and sent two Street King single speed bikes as prizes for the show.
On August 13, 2013, Wyatt Bicycles was featured on The Price is Right! The highlight of this experience was seeing our company featured on the show, getting local media attention, and even more exciting was the fact that someone won the bikes! It was an unexpected opportunity that provided invaluable exposure and helped Wyatt Bicycles grow as a company.
